Terms of Use
Focora app and website · Version 1.0 · Effective 9 October 2026
1. The agreement
- These terms are an agreement between you and Maxim Shubin, a private individual who operates Focora ("we"). They apply to the app in the browser and on iPhone, and to the focora.io website (section 19).
- The Privacy Policy applies together with them.
- By opening an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. What Focora is
- Focora is a tool for organizing your day: tasks, routines, a schedule, Focus mode, music and a voice assistant. It is for anyone who finds it hard to organize their day or wants to be more organized.
- Focora is not a medical product and not a treatment. It does not diagnose, treat or replace a doctor, psychologist, therapist or other professional. For health questions, talk to a professional.
3. Account and age
- You can open an account from age 13. Under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and is responsible for the use.
- Under 13, you cannot open an account for now. A family account, where a parent manages a child's account, will be added later.
- Luna is available from 16.
- Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If someone used it without permission, tell us right away.
- The account is personal and may not be transferred. On a shared device, sign out when you finish.
4. Luna, the AI assistant
- Luna is software, not a person. She runs on artificial intelligence, and her voice is computer-generated.
- What she helps with: planning your day: tasks, routines (including sports and training routines), Focus and help with the app. She is not meant for political conversations, and she does not give diagnoses, medication advice, or medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice. A sports routine she helps build is a plan on your schedule, not a professional training program. Before new or strenuous exercise, talk to a professional.
- She can make mistakes. She may mishear, and add, move or delete a task by mistake. Check what she did. A deletion Luna made can be undone. Don't rely on facts she states without checking them.
- She doesn't speak for us. Luna cannot commit to a price, discount, free Pro, refund, deadline, privacy promise or a feature that doesn't exist. Only these terms and what the purchase screen shows count.
- In distress: Luna is not an emergency service and not mental-health support. If you are in danger or distress: in Israel ERAN 1201, Magen David Adom 101, police 100. In the US 988. In the EU 112. Elsewhere: findahelpline.com.
- Data: for Luna to answer, some data is sent to AI providers, as described in the Privacy Policy. We ask your consent before your first conversation.
- Reporting: you can report an inappropriate reply with the button next to it, or by email to hello@focora.io. We review reports and use them to improve Luna.
- Limits: a new account gets a limited number of trial conversations with Luna, as shown in the app. Focora Pro has no trial limit, but has reasonable technical limits to prevent abuse.
5. What is not allowed
You may not use Focora to:
- break the law or encourage someone to break it;
- harm, harass, threaten, humiliate or shame a person, or post hateful content;
- post sexual, violent or dangerous content, and above all any sexual content involving minors;
- encourage self-harm, starvation or dangerous behavior;
- use Luna to create harmful content, get around her rules, extract her internal instructions or overload her;
- access other people's accounts, data or systems without permission;
- get around limits, collect data automatically, or reverse-engineer the code, except as the law expressly allows;
- use Focora's servers or keys outside the app;
- spread malicious code or spam, or impersonate someone;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights;
- sell or transfer access to the app.
Breaking these rules may cost access to parts of the app or to your account (section 12).
6. Your content
- The tasks, routines and texts you create belong to you.
- You give us a non-exclusive, free, worldwide permission to use them only to run the service for you: store, sync, show to you, back up, and pass to providers working for us (for example Luna, voice and reminders), as described in the Privacy Policy. The permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups for a limited time and copies others already took.
- You are responsible for your content. Don't enter other people's personal details without their permission.
- Tasks stored only on your device (without sync) will be lost if you delete the app or clear your browser data.
7. Sharing and community
7.1 Sharing by link
Anyone with a link you shared can see the routine and your name. Share only with people you want to. You can delete the link.
7.2 Community
- The community is not open yet. For now only the Focora team uses it, for testing. This section applies from the day it opens, and we will announce that in the app.
- The community is open from age 16. Before your first action there, you agree to the Community Rules.
- What you publish (a week, a name, "about me", a comment) stays yours. By publishing, you give us a non-exclusive, free, worldwide permission to store it, show it inside Focora, adapt it for display, and let other users take a copy. A copy someone already took stays with them even after you remove your post.
- Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Part of the review is automatic: offensive words, emails, phone numbers and links are removed. Every week is reviewed by a person on our team before it appears in the library.
- You can report a week, a comment or a user, and block a user. Blocking works immediately.
- From the day the community opens, we will review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks the rules is removed, and people who break them may lose the ability to post, comment or appear in the community.
- If we restrict you, we will tell you why. You can ask for another review at hello@focora.io, and a person will look at it.
- Weeks and comments in the community are written by users, not by us. They are not professional advice.
7.3 Rights or harm complaints
If you believe someone published your content or content that harms you, write to hello@focora.io with a link and a short explanation. We will review it and remove content that infringes rights.
8. Connecting other services
- You can connect Google Calendar and Google Drive, and sign in with Google. The terms of whoever runs those services also apply.
- Calendar connections are read-only. You can disconnect at any time.
- We are not responsible for other services' availability or for changes they make.
9. Focora Pro and payment
- There is currently no paid purchase in the app.
- Today Focora Pro is given free in one of these ways: granted by our team, an invite code, or a 7-day trial. At the end of the trial there is no charge; Pro simply ends.
- Pro given free with no set period may be ended by us with 30 days' notice in the app. Pro given for a set period lasts until it ends.
- What is included in the free version and in Pro may change. We will announce it in the app in advance.
- If a paid subscription is added: before purchase you will see the price, the period, renewal and how to cancel. Payment will go through the App Store, Google Play or a payment provider named at that time, under their terms and under consumer protection law, including the right to cancel a transaction as the law provides. We will update these terms before we start selling.
- Prices shown in the app before paid purchase is available are not an offer to sell.
10. Intellectual property
- The app, its design, Luna and the other characters and their names, the music, icons, texts, the Focora name and logo belong to us or are licensed to us.
- We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app under these terms. Don't copy, sell or use parts of it for any other purpose.
- Some components are open source and are covered by their own licenses.
- If you send us an idea or suggestion, we may use it with no obligation to you.
11. The service and changes to it
- We keep developing Focora. Features may be added, changed or removed. Features in testing will be marked as such. Before removing a core feature, we will tell you in the app.
- The service may sometimes be unavailable, for maintenance or because of a fault.
- Notifications and reminders depend on your device, the system and other companies' services, and sometimes won't arrive on time. Don't rely on Focora alone for critical matters such as medication, flights or legal deadlines.
- To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is.
12. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account (Privacy Policy, section 8).
- We may limit or suspend an account for a material breach of these terms, a risk to others or a legal requirement. We will tell you why and how to appeal, unless the law or safety prevents it.
- If we decide to shut down the whole service, we will announce it in the app at least 30 days in advance.
13. Liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of data stored only on your device, other companies' services, or decisions made on the basis of a Luna reply without checking it.
- Nothing here releases us from liability for bodily injury, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or takes away rights the law does not allow you to waive, including the consumer protection law of the country where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
- We will announce a material change in the app at least 14 days in advance, except a change the law or security requires sooner.
- For a material change we will ask for your agreement in the app. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
- Small fixes, such as wording or typos, are updated with a new date.
15. Law and courts
- Israeli law applies to these terms.
- A dispute will be heard by the competent court in Israel under the law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the mandatory protections of your country's law and the right to sue there where the law gives it.
- Before going to court, we'd be glad if you wrote to us and we will try to resolve it. This is not a condition.
16. Additional terms if you downloaded the app from the App Store
- This agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- The license is non-transferable and is for use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules (including Family Sharing).
- We alone are responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide them.
- If the app is subject to a legal warranty and fails to meet it, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever.
- Claims relating to the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal requirements, consumer protection and privacy, are addressed to us, not to Apple.
- If a third party claims the app infringes its intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You declare that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer details for questions and complaints: Maxim Shubin, Tel Aviv, Israel · hello@focora.io · +972 53-350-1222.
- When using the app you must comply with applicable third-party agreements, for example with your mobile carrier.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement. Once you accept these terms, Apple may enforce them against you.
17. General
- If a clause of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a clause, that is not a waiver of it.
- We may transfer this agreement to a company that will operate Focora, with advance notice and without reducing your rights under these terms.
- If language versions differ, the Hebrew version prevails, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.

19. The focora.io website and waitlist
This section applies to the focora.io website, the waitlist sign-up and the emails we send to waitlist subscribers. Sections 2, 10, 13, 15 and 18 apply here too.
Who can sign up
The website and the waitlist are for people aged 13 and over. Under 18, a parent or guardian must agree. If you believe a child under 13 signed up, write to hello@focora.io and we will delete their data.
Your email
For the waitlist we keep only the email address you submit. You are responsible for providing an email address you control and for keeping that email account secure. You may unsubscribe or request deletion at any time: see the Privacy Policy, section 13.
Marketing emails
By checking the second consent box on the sign-up form, you agree to receive product updates, early-access invitations and announcements from Focora, in accordance with Israel's Spam Law (Amendment 40 to the Communications Law, 5742-1982). Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. This consent is optional and is not required to join the waitlist.
Acceptable use of the website
You agree not to:
- submit emails you do not own or have no right to use;
- attempt to flood, scrape, reverse-engineer or disrupt the website;
- use the website to violate any law or harm any person.
Plans may change
We make no promises about specific launch dates, feature sets, pricing or availability on specific platforms. Plans may change. Linking to focora.io is welcome.
Changes and ending
For material changes that affect the waitlist, we will email waitlist subscribers before the change takes effect, giving you a reasonable opportunity to unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time. If we close the project entirely, we will notify subscribers and delete personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
